Excited to finally hit the stage again after a two-year hiatus due to the pandemic, the NUSS Choir dazzled the audience with their vocal talent at their concert titled, “To Life We Sing”, at Kent Ridge Guild House’s Della & Seng Gee Guild Hall on 19 March 2022. Led by Music Director, Mr Adyll Hardy, this dynamic group presented a medley of songs centred around themes of nostalgia, celebration and encouragement to uplift one’s spirits in this season.
Among the songs featured was “Sing Gently”, written by renowned American composer – Eric Whitacre in 2020 as the pandemic unfolded. Its lilting, hopeful tune was composed to comfort people during the challenging times. The rousing anthem of “You’ll Never Walk Alone/Climb Every Mountain” was also among the set to encourage the audience to continue to be hopeful and follow their dreams.
As the evening drew to a close, the attendees left the hall with a pep in their step and renewed hope for a brighter tomorrow. As Singapore continues to ease up on the pandemic restrictions gradually, keep your eyes peeled for future performances from NUSS’ Cultural Sections and more!
