NUSS is committed to fostering lifelong learning through engaging educational programmes for children, emphasising the importance of starting early and creating a supportive environment where individuals of all ages can thrive together. This role as a learning hub and community centre is highlighted through recent June Holiday programmes aimed at nurturing children’s curiosity and creativity.
From 3 to 5 June 2024, NUSS hosted a three-day camp centred on Lego Spike and Generative AI. This camp introduced young innovators to the *STEM field, enabling them to cultivate problem-solving and algorithmic thinking skills through hands-on projects with the LEGO® Education SPIKE™ Essential Set. Ms Luo, expressed her delight, saying, “This is my first time sending my 9-year-old for the holiday programme. He enjoyed himself and eagerly shared about the LEGO model he built and how he successfully fixed the sensors after the session.”

The children delved into the fascinating realm of Artificial Intelligence (AI). They were introduced to basic generative AI tools, mastering the creation of images, patterns, and even composing songs and AI avatars. This journey culminated in the production of a YouTube Short. This immersive experience culminated in the production of a YouTube Short, sparking their creativity and providing them with a foundational understanding of cutting-edge AI technology.
Alongside the three-day camp, NUSS offered workshops where children crafted their own custom room mists and candles. They adorned their creations with crystals, dried flowers, and leaves, adding personal touches by customising the boxes and naming their final products. This hands-on process allowed them to express their creativity from start to finish. The children thoroughly enjoyed themselves, transforming basic craft materials into exquisite and fragrant art pieces.
