After a four-year hiatus, the 34th NUSS-PAUM Games returned on 8 and 9 November 2024 in Kuala Lumpur, bringing together alumni from the National University of Singapore Society (NUSS) and Persatuan Alumni Universiti Malaya (PAUM). Last held in 2019, this much-anticipated event showcased the enduring friendship between the two alumni organisations, rooted in shared values of camaraderie and collaboration.
The NUSS contingent’s journey to Kuala Lumpur was marked by anticipation and good spirits. The golf team kicked off the event with a warm-up game at Nilai Springs Golf & Country Club.
The games featured seven sports: golf, tennis, table tennis, bowling, badminton, squash and soccer. Among these, the NUSS table tennis team stood out with a remarkable victory, clinching the championship in their category—a true testament to their perseverance and team spirit.
The games concluded with a dinner and prize presentation, where participants from both alumni organisations came together to celebrate the weekend’s achievements. Beyond the awards, the evening was a heart-warming reminder of the strong bonds that unite NUSS and PAUM, reinforcing the importance of this longstanding tradition.
As we look ahead to the 35th edition, which NUSS is proud to host in Singapore next year, we look forward to welcoming PAUM to our home ground and further strengthening this cherished legacy of friendship and collaboration.
