After a hiatus of two years, the Countdown Party organised by NUSS every year on New Year’s eve was back on 31 December 2022 at the Della & Seng Gee Guild Hall. The theme was “Crazy Rich Asians” inspired by the Hollywood movie which portrayed the characters as having a splashing good time which was exactly what the members and guests experienced – loads of fun, great food and fabulous company to usher in the new year in style.
Dressed to the nines, members and their guests mingled freely before dinner to soak in the party mood. When dinner started, they showed off their spontaneity and ingenuity in a series of games hosted by the amiable and popular emcee Moe Alkaff which elevated the party atmosphere. What’s a party without dancing? Members rose to the occasion to display their nifty footwork or boogie the night away with live band Jerry and the Neu Faces which culminated in everyone gathering to welcome the new year in a confetti shower and more dancing. Judging by the sea of happy faces, it was a great party for one and all. Happy New Year, everyone!
