Swinging into the New Year: NUS President & Ang Pow Challenge

The NUSS President & Ang Pow Challenge 2025 teed off on 22 January at Warren Golf & Country Club, bringing together 79 golfers for a day of friendly competition and camaraderie. Participants put their skills to the test in both the Golf Competition and Novelty Challenges, enjoying a spirited yet convivial atmosphere on the greens. More than just a tournament, the event fostered a strong sense of community among NUSS members, setting a positive tone for the year ahead.

The festivities continued into the evening at the Della & Seng Gee Guild Hall, NUSS Kent Ridge Guild House, where golfers and guests gathered for a celebratory dinner. Golf Convenor Simon Er welcomed attendees with a warm address, expressing appreciation for their participation and support. The traditional Lo Hei session followed, with guests tossing yusheng to welcome prosperity into the new year. Adding to the vibrant atmosphere, the NUSS Band, Silverstones, delivered an energetic performance, making it a night to remember.

Lee Kok Onn Desmond was crowned Overall Champion, while Gan Hua Feng took home the Best Gross title. The event fostered camaraderie within the NUSS Golf Section and set the stage for another year of competitive and enjoyable golfing events.
